I did not see a forum for automotive, so here I am.

I had spectacular experiences, both on the sales and on the service side, with my Wisconsin dealership.

There appear to be three choices to us. In ascending order of distance from The Villages:
- Villages Subaru of Leesburg
- Jenkins Subaru of Ocala
- Sport Subaru of Orlando

If you're a Subaru driver and have any shareable opinions, observations, or experiences, I am all ears.

I'm amenable to driving to the house that is the most honest and customer-oriented.

Thanks, in advance.

Drive a little farther and go to Subaru of Wesley Chapel. It's a new(er) dealership with a state-of-the-art service department. From sale to service everything was low key, friendly and efficient. If they're going to have your car for awhile they will give you a loaner. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area to kill some time at.

Many thanks for the reply. This sounds like EXACTLY the type of storefront that suits me.

Our company has 2 Subaru Dealerships in New England. I have no experience with Subaru in FL, but I'll tell you this, Subaru is serious about Customer Satisfaction and Community Involvement.

Please see the attached.

We recently purchased from Villages Subaru in Leesburg.

We had an excellent experience. The salesman was very courteous. There was no pressure, no hard-sell.

They have two fellas on staff whose only job is to explain all the features of your new car. They take as much time as you need, and make sure all the settings are to your liking.

We were very pleased.

All I can say is there were many reviews about Jenkins and I'm not going to say whether they are good or bad but that you should read them in particular about the service department

I'm on my third Subaru and just had an extraordinary experience at the Leesburg Subaru which is under new ownership. They picked my car up ($30), texted when they started working on it, sent a video of the prechecks with the tech narrating it, found what needed to be fixed which was under mfr. warranty and the car is 5 years old. All the communications were excellent. My car buying experience was Ok with the former owners.

Had a very good experience buying a new Outback at Sport Subaru about a year ago after a not so good experience with Leesburg . The sales person at Leesburg tried to sell me a bunch of add-ons that I didn't want while Sport Subaru did not. Plus Sport Subaru actually discounted the price from sticker while Leesburg did not. Saved several thousand dollars by driving a bit.

I purchased a 2025 Outback from Village and have since took it in for a software update. I have had no problems, happy with dealership.

This was also our experience purchasing our new Suburu Forester last December 24th at Leesburg Subaru. No need to go all the way to Wesley Chapel.

We had a terrible experience at Jenkins Honda in Leesburg before deciding we wanted the Suburu. We’d never do business with any Jenkins dealerships now.

This was not our experience at all at Leesburg Suburu. Great discount from sticker on our Forester Limited, far more on trade-in for our 21 y/o Honda Odyssey than we ever expected, and no push for add-ons. Our salesman was Christian. Easy going young man.

We’re from Oklahoma so I didn’t buy my Outback here but I have taken it to Village Subaru in Leesburg and they have always provided good prompt service. No reason for me to drive any farther.

Villages Subaru in Leesburg has always treated me well for parts and service and are community minded. Sponsored the KofC golf tournament for 5 years now from Bill Bryan to now Villages Subaru to benefit Combat Veterans to Careers and American Wheelchairs for veterans. When I’m ready for my 3rd Subaru they will be the first I go to.

We have had 3 Subarus in the last 6years and would never go anywhere other than Leesburg.

I’ve bought from all three. The Ocala location has a three bay service center that’s nowhere big enough. The Leesburg location (years ago) tried to upsell services and warranties. Sport Subaru I have nothing but praise for. Great facility that’s well run.

Stay Far Away from anything Jenkins. Villages Subaru in Leesburg has been very good for us, however, they are expensive. For routine maintenance and repair I suggest Sumter Tire in Wildwood.

If you can do without the new car smell and all that is associated with a brand new car….::

I’d recommend looking (on line) at Carmax. They’ve got over 3k used Subarus in stock.

Save ya some coin in getting a used car and no haggling.

Can’t beat that…..

Highly recommend Villages Subaru of Leesburg. We had a problem with our Subaru last year, and friends who have been coming down here for years said they liked these folks even more than their home state Subaru dealership.

Villages Subaru of Leesburg exceeded our high expectations. We had a vexing problem with our gas pedal sticking. They gave us a free loaner car to use, got our permission to have their service guy keep our over the weekend to try to recreate the issue, and ultimately diagnosed it.

Texted us a video showing the problem and recommended solution. The Manager then told me if the problem recurred, call them back and they would pay to tow it to their dealership. A year has gone by with no further gas pedal issues.

Pricing was fair and every person we worked with was highly professional. Our go-to for any service issues down here. Hope this helps.

Hands down, Sport Subaru is the best for sales and customer service. I have dealt with all three and the drive to Orlando is worth any extra time it takes. It will save you trouble and money, and you will be treated very well.

We used Bill Bryan before they became Village's Subaru and found out they padded the sticker price but can't speak to Village's policies. I went to Gainesville next because they were able to get the car I wanted. We then bought my next Subaru there because I had such a good experience. I dealt with Bob Hendrickson. They are paid salary, not commission. When we went to Gainesville I found out the dealership in Ocala was under caution from Subaru for not having a certified Subaru mechanic and ran into someone who said they're experience was awful. They have since changed hands to can't speak to them. Trip to Gainesville is not bad. My service is either their or at Village's Subaru.

There is nary a National Car Dealer with more complaints and law suits, than CarMax. There seems to be a new lawsuit every day.

They are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to buying an automobile, in every sense of the word. I urge anyone who would even consider them, to peruse the Reviews & BBB complaints before you do.

On the other hand, if you want to sell them a car, they pay too much money & they don't even look at a car's problems. The company I work for has 16 Dealerships, so we have a clue what cars are worth. I sold my Jaguar to CarMax last winter ... they paid way more than it was worth.

I’m happy with Villages Subaru . Good customer service, so far, and their scheduled maintenance has been more reasonable than in MA

Do all these dealers pad the out-the-door price with outrageous document, electronic filing, dealer prep, and other garbage fees?
