He should come to the grand opening in the Villages and then give a golf exhibition!

It seems he will shave his beard when he beats Cancer. Wish him luck.

That's what I was thinking.

Where is the Villages' Hooters going to be?
I looked it up. Maybe worth a trip at some point. Kind of far from Southern Trace though.

Just east of 44 and Morse Boulevard in Lake Deaton Plaza.

He made $780,000 doing this last year, and is expected to make even more this year.

I read online that the filing for bankruptcy of Hooters is going to lead the brand to get back to its roots of being more "family friendly". Wow. Not the brand I'd like to expose my kids to, but to each their own!

No matter where it's located, someone's going to complain that it's too far away.

Do you honestly think that your kids and grandkids aren't exposed to this everyday? You obviously don't understand the brand.

There are two new businesses going up in Lake Deaton Plaza, the Hooters and a Dunkin Donuts. The Dunkin Donuts was started well before Hooters, but it has stalled out for some reason, with virtually no activity there for several weeks. At the rate they are going now, the Hooters will be open well before Dunkin Donuts.

This always cracks me up. Assuming you never took your kids to the beach. Assuming you never took them to the pool or on a cruise. It's a good restaurant. If you don't like short shorts and tight tops use it as a teaching moment for your children.

The bankruptcy is not affecting the owners of the new Hooters. There are two different entities owning Hooters Stores.
The original owners sold the franchise to a large equity firm. THAT is who is filing for bankruptcy.
Part of the sales agreement allowed those original owners to retain ownership of certain stores and allowed them to open more under THEIR control.

I used to take my older two daughters (now 39 and 35) to the local Hooters from time to time, when the were little, so I could watch a football game and they could have the wings.
The waitstaff fawned over them and couldn't have been more professional. They even helped my clean the BBQ sauce off my girls faces (which went from ear to ear!)
They wore tight t-shirts and nylon shorts w/stockings. Nothing tawdry about their dress or behavior at all...

No longer what it used to be, for better or worse.
We want the kids. We want the families. We want the over-60 crowd. We want the college students. We want them all," Torelli said. "The best way to do that is to appeal to all those different demographics."
Among the ways to revitalize the brand: Create universal standards for servers and hospitality staff, standardize the menu offerings and do away with weekly bikini nights, Kiefer said.
