Weeds In The Flower Beds

I’m a seasonal resident new to The Villages. The problem I’m having is with weeds growing in the flower beds. None of the lawn, plant, and shrub services I’ve hired will pull these. It’s not included in their service (except for weeds in the grass with the lawn service). Homewatch doesn’t deal with weeds either. Some of these weeds are growing very high. I’m at a loss for what to do. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Check the classified ads in the paper. There are usually a few ads about people who will pull weeds. I am about to pull the mulch and put down new cloth and new mulch. Then will heavily sprinkle Preen over the new mulch.
