Hi,
I am one of those folks who has a dental phobia and I will need to get some work done - fillings and crowns. Are there any dentists in or near The Villages who offer conscious oral sedation? I have used it in the past and it really helps. If you have personal experience with the dentist, all the better.
Thanks,
Cindy

My previous dentist used nitrous oxide (laughing gas). the 4 dentist I been to here in Florida didn’t offer it.

Unfortunately it seems like fewer & fewer dentist use nitrous these days, likely due to regulations (related to additional ventilation requirements) which make it cost-prohibitive. Interestingly, however, anyone can buy big tanks of nitrous on Amazon. Of course it's "food grade" nitrous, not medical grade, but that only means it's like 99% pure versus 99.9% pure, so basically the exact same thing.

I see Dr. Michelle Dulgar, at Village Dental in Pinellas Plaza. They will prescribe Ativan for you. I use it when they need to drill or get a crown. Downside - you need a driver to take you home & rest of day is kinda shot BUT upside is there is NO pain & you are conscious enough to answer questions. Have no idea how it works but it works! Good luck,

I gave up and went to UF dental school in Gainesville, Believe me they don’t do anything in rush, but they are thorough and consult on everything with all types of specialists at their disposal.

Stay away from 352 Dentist. Total rip-off artists.

Dr. Vitaly Levintov. Marion Dental Group, across 441 from Lowe's. Proficient, professional and very good at explaining things. Plus he doesn't try to upsell you into stuff you don't really need.
In my experience Marion Dental Group (at least the office mentioned above--there are several others) as a whole operates in the same way.
