Join government agencies and local business at the Savannah Recreation Center for the 2025 Hurricane Expo. The expo, which will take place on Friday, May 2, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., will provide information related to hurricane season. We are excited to be part of it again this year! We are going to be discussing whole home surge protection, local individual surge protection options for devices and appliances, portable generator options, and whole home Generac stand by generators.

Do you have to sign up to go or just show up?

I believe you will need to bring a Villages ID, but no need to sign up :) Just stop by during the 10am-2pm time.

Also a note for everyone reading: The event is free for Villages Residents to attend. We do believe they may ask for Villages ID when you enter the recreation center, however you do not need to RSVP or sign up to visit the event :)

I'll second that sentiment, I realize most are retired here but not all.

As a vendor, maybe try to remind the people putting the event on that many people still work and are unable to attend during those hours. Perhaps a second show at night or weekend.
