The pressure washer is fairly new and only used a couple times before my husband became very ill and was hospitalized for a lengthy time. It sat unused in our garage for
approximately 9 or 10 months. I have tried to start it but it won't start. Even had a neighbor try, thinking I wasn't strong enough, but it still won't start. He won't ever use this machine again but I would like to try to use it or sell it. I have no idea where to take this or who to call to have come over to fix this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I used Summerville small engine repair. His name is Jessie 352 316 7128. He picked up my generator that I hadn't started in 10 yrs and brought it back running like new

I can’t come over due to medical issue. Maybe you can find someone with some experience doing this?

First check oil level,

The carb is gummed up from setting with alcohol gas in it. First need to drain tank, put some fresh gas in it, then remove spark plug, spray couple shots of carburetor cleaner down the spark plug hole and install spark plug. Making sure the start switch on It should fire off carburetor cleaner. It probably won’t take off yet, now take carburetor air cleaner off exposing the carburetor air intake. Spray couple shot directly down carburetor. It should fire off carburetor cleaner, may have to do it several time to get it to take off on its own. If don’t take off from several times spraying down carburetor the carburetor bowel will have to be removed, cleaned out and spray exposed carburetor float hoping it get to needle and seat (Usually that don’t have to be done unless it set for couple years).

Too late for this one but never store small gas engine without treating gas tank or draining tank and carburetor due to alcohol in gas you get at the gas stations. -

When using spray cleaner wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Keep face as far away as possible. Wash any over spray off skin immediately.

Agree with above issue. No use after 6 months will usually get a no-start situation. Carb needs deep clean. Gas in carb leaves deposits that keeps the fuel jets from flowing. Fairly easy to clean, 20 minutes, no special skills required. Repair service would charge you 100-150. What village are you located in?

Pressure washers are a complete crap-shoot. Essentially disposable. I've been lucky, my Costco Husqvarna worked all last season. Wintered it with fresh oil, fresh spark plug, stab-bil in with the gas, used a can of pump-saver, ran the gas lines dry, and always use ONLY 100% gas (aka Boat Gas). Usually a blue handle at the gas stations in the U.S.

Started it up the other day after 6 months off. Worked as it should. See if I get a second summer season out of it before trying it all over again next year.

Using non-ethanol gas is highly recommended to avoid gumming issues.
Available at all WAWAs and other select locations.

I did not see any post for anyone offering to help. If no one has offered I would be happy to take a look at it "FREE OF CHARGE" . I belong to a church group that offers free repair services for villagers. NOT a SCAM!! 3304613110

Try emptying the gas tank and put in fresh gasoline.

If this does not work, look to taking it to a small engine repair shop.

Or. purchase a new one, a Honda engine power washer. I’ve owned my Honda power washer for 15 years. Starts each time.

Suggestions. READ the instruction book. Neighbor. People try to help qualified to help?
Post says gasoline powered. Forgive the simple direct post. Is there fuel in the tank? More modern small engines have safety stuff. There might be a valve that shuts off the fuel-it might be closed. There may be a switch that shuts off the ignition. You do not say 4 cycle or two cycle. Two cycle you need to add proper oil to the fuel. It is not motor oil, from your car. Get oil for an air cooled engine. Outboard oil is for water cooled engines and is not proper.

For what it is worth. No one reads instructions. I will bet it says to run the fuel out of the carbruator. You can buy gasoline stabilizer STABIL is most common brand. They sell two types one for gasoline with alchohol. If I recall it is blue. The other is red. The blue is slightl more expensive but it says to use less so cost is about the same. A proper carb cleaning you should buy the kit and replace stuff like gaskets. Float valve etc.

I'd be willing to trade a "working" pressure washer for that one. I have an electric pressure washer with 2000 psi. Its simple and easier to handle than a gas powered 3100 psi
