I will be moving to The Villages in August or September 2025, and I want to find a long-term rental. Can someone advise the best way to find a long-term rental?
Thanks

The RentFromAVillager website has the best selection and prices as there's no middleman. There is also an associated Facebook group.

My wife and I live in The Villages year round and our son and daughter-in-law bought a house across the street from us to be near us when they retire. They are both high tech professionals. They usually rent their home at 1043 Soledad Way in the Village of Hacienda South during the winter months.
It is right on the championship golf course.
The website they use that gives all of the details and many photos and videos follow: Here is the website. The pricing is there; but I know they are flexible for a long term rental.

My wife and I can show it at your convenience. We are both in our 80's and are retired educators. I was a mathematics professor.

Down Home is the absolutely worst agency to deal with...as both a landlord and a tenant.
I used them. They were not responsive to me as an owner (i.e. no return on emails or phone messages) or to my tenants who had some service issues.
How this business remains in business is a wonder to me!
Their failure to do what they contracted for cost me several thousands of dollars. They even refunded me a couple of months of their take on the rental because of their failures. But, that didn't make up for my losses.
They are nice people. But, they simply are failures at responsiveness.

Agree, as they have transitioned to real estate sales. The owner of the company was given the company from her father, and she does not have any business acumen.
good luck. .
