Found at 1:55pm this afternoon in the back of a cupboard in a neighbors garage. We are very happy and would like to thank all of you who responded so kindly and positively to our "lost cat" thread.
Love you all.

I am so glad he is home.

Frequently I see people who leave their garage doors open a foot or two off the ground for ventilation. Was the finder one of these people? I'm curious to know whether D'Artagnan was in the garage for the last few days or just recently scooted in. Cat's are so interesting. It's been my experience that when a house cat escapes they stay close to home and take cover. He must be one hungry cat and you both must be so relieved, I know I am.

Good news.
Lost my dog last year around this time of the year for a few hours and those few hours were some of the worst of my life.
A pet lover had rescued my pooch where he spent the evening watching TV with her dog as company.

"dar-tan-yan" the last syllable is the English lazy vowel pronounced as the last vowel in any word ending with "er". D'Artagnan was the leader of the Three Musketeers.
By the way he was inside the cupboard in the garage - he has a good facility for opening doors which do not have a latch to hold them closed. These doors were spring loaded so they closed behind him. I think he could have pushed them open but when he is in a strange place he likes to find a dark spot to hide in. The bottom of the cupboard was full of folded clothes and he had made a space at the back of them to hide in and stay warm. Seems that on Saturday he made some noise and was discovered. He did not lose too much weight - maybe one pound in 5 days.

I smile everytime I think of his happy return!!! I have told our two kitties, (Mikey, Harry and Hershey) that he is home safe and they purred loudly.

Just they wait until I get back home!
