Tops is right, when I have a rental car and the tire is low I can never find a working free or pay air pump as most all are junk or broken. Most portable air pumps on the market are inexpensive and do the job well. Some may have Memorial Day sales?

A decent quality air compressor is a necessity in any garage. Not only are they great to have around to insure your automobiles, golf carts, bikes, etc.. have proper tire PSI, but the blower attachment has so many uses. For residential use, a good quality oil less air compressor can be purchased at Lowel’s or Home Depot for under $100.

Dewalt has a portable compressor. Charge the battery, connect to your tire and then dial in the pressure you want and press start. Walk away as the compressor will stop when the tire pressure dialed in is reached.

I like the "non brand" item!! Nevertheless, I agree those tire inflators are a great tool. I personally still pump mine with a hand pump, but I should really get one of those.

You can go to Home Depot and buy a high pressure portable Ryobi air pressure unit with the battery and charger for $89. It’s automatic and will inflate anything you have up to 160 pounds of pressure. The battery charge lasts for months and you can take it with you. Just setup the pressure you want connect it to the tire - press the start button and it stops when it reaches the setting.

Go on Amazon and get you a Yantu air pump for under $60. I have several. They are great and easy to use. No need for a tire gauge.

Agree with all the above. I got one that you set the tire pressure and it turns off at that pressure. I also keep it in the trunk just in case.

I agree, dewalt is what I use, same batteries as my circular saw, drills and leaf blower. I have a pool so I can inflate all the floaties too plus golf cart tires where you can’t get to air.

Screw hose onto valve, select low or high pressure, select chosen psi, and let it run until it stops at your chosen psi. Remove hose, replace valve cap and you're done!

I typically just pull into any tire store and ask if they would add air to my tires, I've never had one tell me no. Just did it last week at the Tire Choice store on 466 near Wal-Mart, they were very nice. Told me pull around back and there was a guy there within 1-2 minutes topping me off. Not their tires but very nice.

Hand pump works great for the past 50 years. However, the USB rechargeable I received as a gift is a nice option, and it’s smart, turning off when the desired pressure is reached.

A garage version air compressor is electric, not battery like the portable ones mentioned by others in this thread. Below is the frequently used one in our Villages garage. Unfortunately, like everything else the price has doubled since I bought ours a few years ago.

I go to TIRE CHOICE on Wedgewood Lane before you get to Walmart...They will check your tire pressure and fill your tires for free. Drive around the back of the building where they do it.

Or any $100 pancake compressor - they're all just about identical. 6 gallons, usually 150psi, made by Craftsman or DeWalt or Rigid or Porter-Cable or Kobalt or any number of others.

I got 3 gal air compressor in garage I’ve used once in 10 years down here. Too much hassle to pull it out find air hose, connect it and pressurize it. When all got to use the hand held one. I topped off my car, golf cart, scooter as. Two wheel dolly truck and still had plenty USB internal battery life.

Perhaps a simple solution. Assuming you do not have a flat where being a tubeless tire you break the seal to the wheel; you can top up your car or cart tire
with a hand pump. The ones with a pressure gauge cost like $20. Aside as they clamp to the valve stem, Access to the lock lever can be difficult. Another simple solution you can buy valve stem extenders for like two bucks. Put it on, attach the hand pump and pump up the tire. More time to type it than to do it.

I doubt it. Easy to look up online. The problem with rechargeable tools is they discharge, loose power, even if unused. It is increased by HEAT. Florida is HOT. Stored in car. Probably hits 140 in your trunk
