Wondering if there is a garage door tech that installs a smart remote garage door opener
I have an alistar MVP garage door opener
An example would be ismartgate PRO kit for garage
Kit for garage door. Includes Wi-Fi controller and waterproof wireless tilt sensor. ismartgate PRO will remotely open, close and control your garage door through HomeKit, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and iFTTT or with native iOS/Android App. Includes key features such as video, user management, audio player, 3 doors control, compatibility with wireless and wired sensors.
I don’t know if this is a good unit if it’s compatible or if there’s something better out there anyway I would want help installing it

Save yourself a lot of time and money, get a nice new Chamberlin opener, go for top of the line, belt drive, battery backup, and WIFI connectivity. If you are handy these are relatively easy to install, I have installed at least 6 for neighbors and have one myself. I do not believe you can do what you want with the Allistar or MVP openers, but others may have figured out how it can be done. The MVP openers have been discontinued so i would not put any money into these units.

Take VT’s advice. Get a new opener with MyQ technology.

I second the Chamberlain with built in MyQ. I just put one in at the house we recently bought in The Villages to replace an old MVP. I too, would get the belt drive with battery backup. I also have a second Chamberlain at our Wisconsin House. Not hard to install and I did mine myself, but I think Home Depot will do it for around $150 if you buy through them.
