We have Kart Aide and just noticed as I was going to renew it that their plans only include pickup from your HOME to a dealership to fix it, not if you are stranded. What other options are people using here and have you had a breakdown experience with them.

We've have Kart Aide for both carts for years and I've always had them just bring me and the cart back home. If I can't repair it then I call someone to fix it at the house.

Other options would be adding roadside assistance to your golf cart insurance. I did and it was only $10 for the year. I have not used it but I was told they would use cart aid if needed. I would call cart aid and ask what their true policy is for towing to home as I cannot see it different than taking it to a closed garage late at night?

So, if you're stranded, and they take your cart to a repair shop, how will you be getting home from the repair shop?

If you're at home, and they tow your car to a repair shop, well - you're already home.

That's the difference.

I have been stranded twice, they will tow you to your home, or a shop...your choice.

I currently have American Golf Cart Association. They have different plans, 24 hour towing, & they have breakdown at home & breakdown on the road. This is their website if you want to investigate their offerings Home (https://www.joinaga.us/)

If you have AAA for your car, I'm pretty sure that will cover your stranded golf cart. That said, I have Kartaide and used them twice over the years.

Don't know for sure, but some have posted that AAA will not tow your cart if it's on the golf course...

Words to that effect were in the AAA contract the last time I looked.

That makes sense that AAA would not go onto the golf course to tow your cart. What wasn't clear was whether "golf club property" would also include the country club parking lot.

Kart Aid won't get you on a golf course either, you have to get it off the course to the starter shack lot or the street yourself. Happened to me twice over the years.

I now use 24 hour Cart Club. For a long time I had kart side but one time I called them for a flat tire in my garage and they refused to come out. They said I wasn’t stranded because I was home. Then I found out that they also charge a fee to take you from your home to a dealer ship. 24 Cart Club is very helpful and doesn’t care where you are. They even loaned me a spare tire and rim until I got my flat fixed. They are the best.

I use AGA ( Home (https://www.joinaga.us/) )

Been stranded twice and they came and picked up my cart both times and delivered where I instructed them for repair.

Not really sure I understand your point, but I can’t speak more highly of their service. We were stranded at 10pm and they responded within 15 mins and took us and our cart home.

I'm not sure where you got your info. A week ago we were stranded on a road and they picked us up and took us and the cart to the Villages Cart Store.

Kart Aide does provide emergency assistance. Their present advertising is confusing. Call and clarify.

AAA does not cover golf carts anymore unless you have premium membership with RV coverage to include off road vehicles

Interesting because their website specifically states HOME only,

When I went to their website to renew it lists it that way.

Just called them.. Thier website is misleading as they will pick up your cart anywhere in the Villages and take it to your home or repair shop. over the year I have been towed home twice.

AAA stopped cover for golf carts from January 1st 2025 or your next renewal after that date. Our renewal was February but our cart broke down in January and they still wouldn't tow it. You can add RV coverage to your membership but it's more expensive than others

Take a look at 24Hr Cart Club. They are on The Villages GPS App. I originally picked up their information at one of TV golf cart locations. 352-661-9562. I use them for two carts. I used their services one time when at a local restaurant and golf cart wouldn't start when leaving. Came and picked me and wife up and delivered golf cart to house. I had one of the "come to your house" guys fix the golf cart at my house- Turned out to be a loose wire at the ignition switch.
This company is reasonalbly priced and I have good piece of mind when out and about.

It was time for renewal for us too and I noticed Kartaide not only went up in price, it changed its service. We switched to 24 hr Cart Club ( advertises on Don Wiley’s Utube). 352-330-1911 or you can find them online. They offer what Kartaide once offered at $40 per year or $70 for 2 years.
