This looks like a very worthwhile series. I have been watching the various Karate Kid movies and this is a sequel to some of them.

Cobra Kai is an outstanding concept of a show. It essentially retells much of the original Karate Kid story, but switches the protagonist and antagonist. Imagine that Daniel LaRusso (aka "Daniel-san") is the bad guy. He moves into the neighborhood from Jersey, and then steals this blonde kid's girlfriend from him (Johnny Lawrence).

It's a really interesting perspective of the telling of this classic story. I highly recommend it. After a few seasons you kinda have to take it with a grain of salt that every kid in the San Fernando Valley who isn't already un cholito apparently becomes a multi-black belt expert in very little time and at some point they have fought every opponent imaginable and you gotta wonder by the end of the series who else they have left to fight on a seemingly daily basis.
