Be sure to join the Eastport Facebook page. That page is for residents of the three villages south of Eastport, Waters edge being the newest one.

Some general information to help you when you rent, or move here: Download the Free Version of The Villages GPS App- for both iPhone and Android phones. Choose some destinations and select the Golf Cart Directions. Go exploring. You will have an adventure filled with beautiful sights. The daily use of golf carts to get around is one of the most enjoyable aspects of living here- in fact some people are won over to buy here because of the carts. Also: Save this page Events Calendar - Things to Do in The Villages(R) (https://www.thevillages.com/calendar/) Use the 2 drop down menus to select Entertainment and then Town Squares. This will give you the bands that will perform Every evening in the 3 town squares, as well as Sawgrass Grove. On nice days visit the pool. Just float around and tell people you are Renting/New- People are enthusiastic about this place and will be eager to suggest places to go. Once you move here sign up for activities- even ones you are only mildly interested in. This will keep you busy and interacting with other people while you find activities you are enthusiastic about. It can take time, as there are 3,500 different official interest groups/activities, and countless unofficial private/ neighborhood groups. Join all of The Villages related Facebook groups Now, as well as the one for your village. These will provide you with a steady supply of information about social gatherings. Welcome To Paradise!

Take some painters blue tape and lay out your new room sizes in your old home to see what furniture you have will actually fit. Don’t move anything that won’t fit. All that attic stuff needs to be purged. Smaller attic space plus too hot to store things and getting to point to old to be getting up and down carrying things. Closets are smaller with less hang space. Line up someone now to put in more hang space and then look through closets. If you haven’t worn it in two years get rid of it. You need some cold weather things here and a coat. Mostly dry star moister wicking pants, shirts, shorts (not cotton). All that heirloom stuff you have been saving for the kids - give it to them and do t move it.

I am a native Cheesehead myself. We have met a lot of people here in the Villages from Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin.

We moved here from Rochester Hills, Michigan in 2014. You will be very happy with your move. We lived off of Tienken between Livernois and Brewste for 25 years. There is a Michigan club. We have not joined, but you might enjoy it to meet people. :doggie:

You have been asking about this in several threads, since 2022. Three years later, and several hundred responses later, you should probably just accept the answers you've received already. Other than an additional few medical centers in the newer sections that didn't exist in 2022, and a couple of name changes of the hospital in the northern older section, the answers are still the same as they were three years ago when you started asking.

I don’t agree.. not northern home has dark furniture that some seem to think. We brought 2 bed sets, and dining. All made of pecan. We have been looking for a master set in TV for 4 years. So far $9,000 doesn’t come close to filling the master. Quality is questionable at 5 different furniture stores. Plus some pieces will not be available for up to 6 months. Two stores highly recommended in TV suggests just but a frame and mattress, give us $9,000. And eventually the pieces will be delivered, with no actual date of delivery. Furniture isn’t easily acquired today. Even IKEA doesn’t have product

Guess I was just hoping medical care had improved. Sorry to have bothered you.
