For the Texas floods, CBS News reported that the NWS sent 22 warnings and emergency alerts between 11:41 p.m. on July 3 and 3:56 p.m. on July 4. Some residents said they either didn’t receive the alerts or didn’t understand their severity. MAKE SURE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU!

Go to settings on your iPhone.
Click notifications.
Scroll all the way to the bottom.
You should see a listing of government alerts.

Click emergency alerts so that it is enabled.
That takes you to another screen.

Make sure that Local Awareness and Always Play Sound are enabled!!

Hopefully you will never need it.

All on must be a default as I don't remember ever setting it up. However, local awareness was NOT on. It is now. Thanks
