If I go to the Trailwinds ER on 466A and need to be admitted to hospital, do I have a choice of hospitals or do they insist on admitting to their hospital in Ocala.

I haven't been to that one, but I've been to the one in Summerfield, which is also affiliated with the Ocala hospital. When I wanted to go to a different hospital, they said I'd have to go on my own and start all over in the process.

I’ve been to that er twice in 4 days with kidney stone pain. Happy with care, pain gone in 15 minutes of arrival. Must drink plenty of water and hope to pass on its own. Not sure about the hospital question, would be interested to hear the answer.

I would suggest you call the facility and ask them directly there may be other considerations like insurance coverage.

I seem to remember after the 911 had taken my mother there to get her stomach pumped after she drank some Head and Shoulders shampoo left out by a home care person (we switched companies soon after that) the physician working their recommended any follow-up be done by her regular doctor. She has Alzheimer's so we have to keep a close eye on what is within her reach.
