He does play in some rather dark roles in movies.

Couldn't stand his character in Cheers, so didn't like him until his movies. Thought he was brilliant in The People Vs. Larry Flint and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Did you know he may share a father with Matthew Mcconaughey?

His role as Admiral Nimitz in the new MIDWAY was outstanding. He nailed that role.

War of the planet of the apes and another vote for no country for old men. Both excellent movies.
