I've been married 30 years. When we got married, we agreed that as the husband, I would make all the big decisions and my wife would make all the small decisions.

It's worked out great! I'm just surprised there have never been any big decisions.

Once you make that agreement, there are no longer any big decisions.

That's great! You get to be the one that shops without consequence of budget or bottom line. Have fun!

In our house we have his and her so we would get both.

Shortly after my wife and I were married, we were at a party, and I was stupid to brag to the guys in the immediate area that I was "King of our household". Little did I know that she was directly behind me. With out pausing, she said in a very clear voice so all could hear "Yes, that is correct but I'm Sgt Preston!"

As a condition of a marriage license being issued, the prospective groom should be required to memorize and recite:
"Whatever you want, Dear"

I had to look that up, as it was on before I started grade school.

My dad used to say they had a 50/50 marriage: when they disagree they do what she says and when they agree they do what he says

My husband is the head of our household. And I’m the neck . . . I’ll turn him any way I want!

Marriage is about shared responsibilities. The husband is responsible for the bad decisions and the wife for the good ones.

Marriage is about shared responsibilities. The husband is responsible for the bad decisions and the wife for the good ones.

And when a couple gets married the man thinks the woman will never change and the woman thinks she can change the man. Neither ever happens.
