Has anyone else noticed the sense of balance in the world since the Red Sox surged past the evil empire (The Yankees) a few days ago? Dam, it feels good!

Balance in the World? NO

Just in the minds and souls of Sox’s fans.

The World will be even more balanced when the Guardians take back their original name the INDIANS!

Whats in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

More than a century’s worth of tradition?

Everything changes. Players, coaches, venue, fans, equipment, uniforms, rules, even traditions.

There are exceptions, the Browns came back to Cleveland after spawning the Ravens.

The Indians were renamed because all of the 3 people felt it was offensive, but they will likely come back just like the Browns.

There are of course lots of other “names” in sports, just like the Civil War remnant “Yankees”, the “Blue Devils” and many others. Fortunately the Braves, Chiefs, too many to count haven’t folded to the now extinct “woke movement “.

My two favorite team names are, "HOME" and "VISITORS". I always cheer for "Home".

There is more balance in the world these days, but it has nothing to do with baseball.

Exceptions? No. Eventually, all things change. Those that can adapt will last a little longer than those who can't. But, eventualy all things change.

I think you mean "imbalance". But either way, I agree, nothing to do with baseball.

I wonder how long that will last? The Yankees striking out a lot in other words?

My Dad was a huge Cubs fan and went to bed before the last game of that World Series which would finally give the Cubs that World Series win. He was very pleased when he woke up .

I attribute the new balance across the country to the “huge” lead the Tigers have over the field.

as a natural born south bronx boston hater i now know i made a mistake. The red sox role is to be a Yankee foil, a distraction, a revered foe and friend.

I’m sure my son-in-law (native Rhode Islander living in SoCal), who is a die hard Red Sox fan (married to a die hard Dodgers fan thx to her momma), is a happy guy right now. :)
