I just purchased a new Awntech retractable awning which arrived 3 days ago. After seeing it, I realized that even though I am handy, hanging this is more than I can take on. Anyone have anyone that you can recommend? Like I said, I already have the awning, I just need it installed.
Thanks!

I don't have a specific recommendation, but be careful of the proprietary awning installers. They will charge way more than a handyman or other contractors. As I understand it, the installation should only take about an hour or so of labor, but some of these awning installers will charge $1,500 to $2,000. So shop around.

My neighbor had one of these, I had the required drill but needed the drill bits (block house, steel lintel beam). Took about 15 minutes to drill the 6 holes and then he had 2 other helpers show up to raise into place while I placed and tightened the bolts. We needed the STS type drill bits to get through the concrete and steel, and these worked very well.
I agree with the previous comment, the company that made the awning has quoted $1200 for the installation, we did it for a few beers and around $30 for drill bits.
