Maybe I will be there and maybe not . Have two degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno. (BAs-Dec 1980, May 1981). A Master's in Librarianship from the U of Denver (May 1984), and a Law Degree from the U of Minnesota (May 1989) and took night classes in Spanish from the College of San Mateo (85) and had dropped out of BYU Law School in 1982.

Hard to decide which colors to wear.

I have met a couple of people here in the Villages who attended the U of MN but none from any of the other schools.

It would probably come down to which University colors I have in my wardrobe or which shirt I like the most available on Amazon.

Definitely like the University of Nevada, Reno shirt the most . I have met a few Villages who have lived in Reno, Nevada and who had some interesting stories to tell . Usually involving how much trouble their kids could find there. I did hang myself up on a barbwire fence and got shot in the pinky with a BB gun so there was trouble to find. I was not quick enough on the downhill turn at the bottom of which was a barbed wire fence.

I just recalled that I did meet a worker in the medical support field who had a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver. She helped quite a bit with analyzing for us the various nursing home, home health care options, etc.

It would be down to which shirt I can still fit into.

Kinda reminds me of toddlers riding around on their trikes with their favorite flag on the back. I wonder who thought of this exhibition? I mean does anyone even care?

Seems there has been a lot $$ raised in the past, $76,00 in 2024 for local food banks.
If you don’t care stay away and quit knocking the event.

They have been having quite a turn out each year . They used to have it in Spanish Springs with a photo each year of hundreds of Villagers with their college clothing on. Ohio State often had a huge number of graduates.

It probably would have helped if the OP said it was a fundraiser, which charity and advised people to bring their money and food so they can wear their attire and that they will be making contributions. I didn't see that in the post and you're safe, I'll stay away.

Sumter Landing will be crowded on Friday. I see a lot of golf carts that have some kind of Alma Mater stuff.

I did wear my U of Nevada, Reno shirt today. Pretty cool. My mother and older brother also graduated from UNR.

You have been here since 2015, and didn’t know this was a fundraiser? Sorry to hear that.

The Clemson alumni came in first with Penn State second and the University of Kansas third.

Their drive in 2025 earned $103,549.70.

Or 117,670 lbs of food.

That is according to The Villages Daily Sun pages B4 and B5. August 30, 2025.

Congratulations to the Clemson group. They looked like they were having a good time. Fun looking group and they raised lots of money for a good cause.
