I did a search, but didn't find anything on here or in the area

Are there any stores, in or around TV, that specialize in used sports equipment? Something akin to Play It Again Sports

We've been to various thrift stores in the area, but haven't really found what we need - a set of golf clubs for my wife; a woman about 5ft tall.

We don't need a high-end set as she's just starting out, but want something decent at a "good" price

If she ends up playing regularly, then we'll spring for a set of fitted clubs; but there is no need for this if she's only going to play occasionally

If you've got a set you'd like to get rid of, DM me

Thanks
.

Watch FB Marketplace for used golf sets.

We bought my wife’s set from a guy that lives close to the country club up above Paradise. He advertises used sets regularly.

There’s also John’s Golf Box (?) who operates off Hwy 301 in Wildwood.

I’m sure there are others but those came to mind immediately.

I have asked on this site for clubs, push carts, etc. available for sale and found what I needed. Still using a push cart I got here 12 years ago. Wife got almost new clubs 2 years ago.

There is a Play it again sports in Leesburg. I can't remember which shopping plaza. It used to be by Goodwill but moved into a new plaza down the street.

Check any of the golf stores in & around TV for used clubs. ( Johnnys on 466, Golf Central in Brownwood, Sarasota off Morse, etc. ) This site under golf

Garage sales. Golfing stuff, fishing stuff, and tools are a plenty.

Your best bet for used clubs at a fair price is right here in the classifieds. Another good source is Craigslist. We bought my wife's clubs on Craigslist in Tampa. The deal was well worth the drive.

We did not have much luck with garage sales. Most of the clubs are many years old.

Try Play It Again Sports in a shopping center on 441 in Leesburg. It’s at the northwest corner of the shopping center, and it’s on the north side of 441. I haven’t purchased anything there, but I donated all my golf clubs for resale.

Mostly junk clubs at Market of Marion. Don't waste your time. Check out Edwin Watts Golf which is in The Villages near Costco.
3530 Wedgewood Lane. They have a Labor Day sale going on right now. Many used sets of clubs.

Hi,
We’ve been having the same question, but found that now all the used sports equipment is found in the internet. Places like Facebook’s Marketplace. That is where we purchase all of my husband’s weights, benches, pulleys, you name it. He has the spare room full of equipment now and expends hours there working out.
BTW this Talk of TV website also has a Marketplace.
Hope this helps.

I have a very nice golf bag for sale if you need 1. Did you look into the classified section on this site? There is Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and a few golf stores around TV. You can get a new set of good quality clubs for the cheap or some very good clubs at golf central in Brownwood.

Be careful buying used golf clubs. Don't buy very old clubs because they may be way out-of-date in terms of weight and geometry. Most new sets have more hybrid clubs than irons because they are easier to hit. It may be better to buy a new starter set of clubs from Amazon for less than $200.
