I discovered a wet area in my side yard. Started digging and found two side byside pink pipes about 3/4 inch dripping water. Can anyone tell me anything about them or who I should call?
Thank you

Hard to tell from the photos, but if PVC turns "pink", the pipe is seriously degraded.

Unless it is irrigation piping that started out that color.
Any plumber or a good handyman can fix it.

Could that pink be a shade of purple used for reclaimed water irrigation systems? Not sure what other pvc would be running through your yard.

Purple pipes are for irrigation. Quick way to verify is to turn on your irrigation and see if those pipes start leaking.

If they are not irrigation pipes, my only other guess would be the HVAC condensate drain and the water heater overflow drain. The condensate drain would always be draining in the summer, but the water heater overflow drain would be dry most of the time.

PVC Pipe in "Pink" is "furniture grade" pipe and not generally used for irrigation. See attached.

“Purple (https://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-3-4-in-x-100-ft-Coil-Purple-Reclaimed-Water-PEX-C-Pipe-U870P100/203317227)” appears to be a range.
Furniture grade comes in many colors including purple

Turned off the water at irrigation meter, leak stopped. Call placed to several repairmen. Thanks for all replys.

Nope. Pink PVC is used for all irrigation in TV...white is used for potable water.

It's irrigation or drainage, most likely irrigation. If you are using your irrigation system with no problems and it's in a remote location in your yard, then I wouldn't worry about it. But if you haven't used your irrigation and want to, then I'd go with a plumber over a "handyman".

They wouldn't bury a AC drainage pipe

They wouldn't bury a AC drainage pipe
Typically, the AC condensate drain pipe is buried under the concrete garage slab and is routed upward aboveground and drips onto the ground just outside of the garage.

The pink stuff is the thin cheap stuff that TV uses to route mains around the house. if they are cracked, you need to dig a few feet to both sides of the crack. Now the fun part you can't flex them all that much but you'll have to cut them and put in a 'patch pipe' so you'll need 2 couplers per pipe, I used sched 40 pipe as I don't want to do it again. you'll need the glue kit, and make sure you use it. Aside from the digging it's fairly easy and inexpensive to fix. I've fixed all sorts of sprinkler runs for decades. easy peasy. If you need help just send me a message

Nope. Pink PVC is used for all irrigation in TV...white is used for potable water.
You're welcome to come over and look at my WHITE Irrigation Pipes, anytime you'd like.
PINK pipe, is "furniture grade" pipe, and typically used for "decorative" purposes. It is not a standard color for irrigation or anything else.
PVC or Polyethylene both have "color codes" and should only be used for their designated purpose.
Anyone who uses the phrase "in all of The Villages ....", needs to get some more experience in TV. Things change all the time. Construction, materials, restrictions, etc.

There are some locations in TV that use POTABLE water for irrigation, and I ASSUME that they would use the WHITE pipes since this is potable water. The other possibility is that a previous owner used the wrong pipes for repairs or changes to the system.

Purple/pink pipe is used by the villages for recycled non-potable irrigation water.

Nope. My irrigation pipes are white. But obviously some homes have pink irrigation pipes.

From AI:
"In Florida, pipes carrying reclaimed, recycled, or other non-potable water for irrigation are required to be purple. The purple color standard is a critical safety measure to prevent accidental cross-connections with the potable (drinking) water supply.
Florida's purple pipe identification rules:
Color coding: All non-potable distribution piping must be purple. The Florida Building Code specifies that the color purple (Pantone 522C) shall be used to identify reclaimed, rain, and gray water distribution systems."
I have seen contractors install an irrigation system filter aboveground using white pipe. This may be a violation of the Florida code.

Correct. If you have white irrigation pipes then you either are up North and have pottable water for irrigation or somewhere along the line your irrigation system was changed and the plumber or irrigation person used white PVC.
The only reason for the pink PVC is to indicate non-pottable water so a plumber, irrigation person or anyone else doesn't mix them up.
Either way, I've seen a few homes where the irrigation joints failed over time because when they build these homes, sometimes they rush and mess up the joints.
If they fail you will definetly notice it.

I was in my side yard yesterday and was also walking in a soggy area. It was right near where the dripper for my interiorAC unit drains. Look for that pipe if it is nearby, all you have to do is fix your hole in the lawn.

NOPE... never condensate drains! It's the Irrigation pipes, any decent handyman will repair those very inexpensively. Now you know, not to pitchfork your yard. next time pay for aeration.

That depends on the location of the AC Air handler...
Mine exits the side iof the house, above grade and stays above grade...

My home uses the reclaimed water and uses white piping... I'm just North of 44, built in 2017...
