Discovery Launch

Can anyone tell me where would be the best place to watch the launch of Discovery this afternoon in the Villages and in what direction we should look? I have heard that it is visible in the sky but have no idea where to look. We would like to take the golf cart and watch it if we can.

I would look for a high open space area. Maybe someplace in Mallory Hill near the golf course. The launch will be South East from TV. Maybe around 105 to 115 degrees South East.

Pretty much anywhere that has an open view to the sky in the East/Southeast.

The cart parking area on the bridge over Lake Sumter would be a good place.


We usually just go out into the street with our neighbors and watch the launches.

.....we have been in Home Depot's parking lot facing 441 Sand had a spectacular view...try find a radio station covering it and enjoy it where ever you go...one never get used to the majesty even from afar!!
