Well, I would say I do; but Billy's Cafe on 441 makes good pancakes and waffles.

JohnI can't say what's best since I haven't been around that long, but we've been to Perkins on 466 where they were real good. I'll bet that I-Hop's cakes are real good too, but I haven't tried them there yet!

Had some pretty good ones at Cracker Barrell on Monday. They always serve a nice breakfast selection. In fact they don't do bad for any meal. Had the chicken salad salad for lunch today and it was great.:eclipsee_gold_cup:

usually like the pancakes at my nj ihop so we tried the southern trace restaurant around brunchtime - pancakes were soggy - made me wish i had stayed home and made my own - fluffy, light and hot from the griddle - instead of off the warming shelf. maybe the pancakes are better there when it is more like breakfast time. eggs were nicely done - except for having sat under the warming lights - not hot.

The very best pancakes are at Billy's. They are always so busy there, there's no time for a "warming light" so you get them fresh off the griddle.

Come to think of it, I haven't met many pancakes I didn't like!
Why I even like the pancakes you can get at McDonalds!

Would they by any chance have corn pancakes. Those are my favorites but they have to be made with kernal corn, not creamed corn.

Just my opinion but I believe the best pancakes by far hands down. Too Jays potato pancakes for breakfast. Just like mom made them.

Potato pancakes have my vote. Can't share who has the best because I always start out to order pancakes and end up with ham, eggs hash browns, etc. Somebody stop me. :( Billy's Cafe, Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel all have my breakfast vote:thumbup:

I didn't like it, but that was only because it's stuffed with cream cheese. I like cream cheese, but not in combination with the pancakes. Wish I had gotten regular sweet cake type pancakes. I was even tempted to try the potato pancakes, but just couldn't make myself. Didn't want to chance wasting my opportunity for sweet cake pancakes if I didn't care much for the potato type.

well, mcdonalds have the best. they are light and fluffy, hot, and the sausage pattie just hits the spot.
you can also make very nice ones yourself if you use club soda insgead of water in them. the carbonation keeps them lighter.

I love the pancakes at Perkins, especially with twin-berry syrup. My daighter and granddaughter absolutely love the pecan pancakes at the Cracker Barrel though. I make good ones also, I whip the egg whites and fold them into the batter.

That's how I do them too. Warm maple syrup and real butter are required. Thick bacon, fresh hot coffee....I gotta go start heating the griddle!

We like Perkins, either on 441 or 466, at least they are consistantly good.

Instead of club soda, try warm beer. It's got the carbonation that club soda has plus adds a nice taste. I use Sam Adams but any warm beer will do the trick.

I tried BILLY'S and was soooooo disappointed

they just pour the fruit on top, not inside the pancakes.

In 2005 when we first tried Billy's Cafe, it was outstanding and we'd never miss a trip to TV without at least one breakfast there. Unfortunately, this past year we were not as impressed with Billy's either. It's still good but not great. It shouldn't be that difficult to deliver an outstanding breakfast!

Anyone been to the Taste Tempter Pancake Inn in Leesburg? They've been there for 25 years. Must be good pancakes there and less expensive than IHOP.

I like Perkins & their twinberry syrup... AND they have books that you can take home for a donation! I picked up 4 yesterday (a Maeve Binchy, a Patricia Cornwell & 2 others), will read them & return them to Perkins in 2 weeks, so others can take them home. The donation goes to a children's group.

Pancakes & books. It just gets better every day, doesn't it?

Was yours among them? I'd trust opinions of TV residents but not Yelp or any of the other web blogs. Restaurant owners or competitors can post anything they want on those. That's why I asked has anyone here tried them?
