We'll be moving down next month and don't know if we want to buy refurbished 2007-2008 from Carts & Clubs in Ocala or TV Cart Sales for about $6500 or buy a good and older used cart from Jim Followell for about $3000. We do know we want a Yamaha gas. Any advantages/disadvantages to either?
Thanks.

To us, the differences were primarily in cost and peace of mind. We ended up buying a new cart from Carts & Clubs. More bucks, obviously, but EVERYTHING is new - not just checked out or rebuilt - with a longer warranty. Plus I don't have to wonder how the previous owners treated it or how/if they performed any maintenance. We're planning on keeping it for the long haul so the extra cost gets spread out over a long period of time. JMHO :)

whichever gives you peace of mind. just remember service should be an important factor to consider. We bought locally from Town and Country EZGO :smiley:since service was faster and more economical than waiting for the dealer to pick it up and deliver again.

Since you asked.... The new Yamaha drive came out in 2007. This cart is superior to older Yamaha carts. Jim Followell, is buying the drive also. If you are looking for used or refurbished I think the smart move would be to buy from the villages. If you decide to go new, I like carts and clubs. Just my opinion.

We bought a 2007 refurbished Yamaha Drive from Carts and Clubs a little over two years ago and have been VERY happy. The service is excellent and almost all of it is done right at your location on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Only major jobs have to go to the shop and they are few and far in between. In our case, never! You can certainly tell the difference in the detail between the Golf Carts coming from Carts and Clubs and The Villages dealer. Color matching, light packages, speedometers, cover quality, etc., - Carts and Clubs win hands-down. Oh, and price too!

My first cart came from The Villages. My second from Carts and Clubs. New or refurbished Carts and Clubs wins. The enclosure is far superior to The Villages Golf Carts and the service is excellent. The light packages were better and the other options were better quality. I have bought one from each and both stand behind the product, but my next cart will come from Carts and Clubs. And cart for cart the price is better from Carts and Clubs.

We have two carts both from The Villages, refurbished. We are very happy with the convenience and service. We also have bought many accessories from Carts and Clubs in Ocala who were extremely helpful and have reasonable prices. I would go with either.

Yep! You're absolutely right - my bad. Sometimes, I'm just dumber than a box of rocks! :sigh:
I went back and corrected my post. Thanks, Xavier!

You might want to check with Scott Prince at Grandpa & Grandma's Village Buggies. Very reliable.

I don't know a thing about golf carts, but I sure know a beautiful baby when I see one!
