What is this about a new Village ID? First I heard of it. Is my old one (July 2010) still good?

Old ones won't be good. As the one poster said you go to that place (it's on a corner) of Wedgewood Lane to get your I.D. They have made the news ones so people can't duplicate them...apparently there was so issues with that happening in the past.

I believe yours is still good. You could give them a call and I would think they could tell you.

Hi Tom,
They started issuing the new ones before July 2010, so it wouldn't make sense for them to have issued you an old one.
As long as yours is green with red lettering and has a barcode, you are good to go!

you go to the district office on wedgewood lane . Take 466 to the citizens first bank (heading west of buena vista blvd. Turn between the shell station and the bank. Wedgewood lane is the 1st road to the left. The district office is on the corner as you enter the parking lot.

Yup...this is true! Think you have til March 31st to get it free!!!I'm not sure if this has been mentioned so far, but after March 31st a new resident's first ID card will still be free, but if you need a replacement there will be a fee involved.

My card is green. As far as the red lettering and barcode I am not sure. The card is in Florida. (I hope it is because I can't find it in my wallet) I'll find out in two weeks.

My mind is in Florida, but alas my body is stuck for the moment in ATL. :D
Back to hte subject at hand, no worries, Tom. At least about your card being a new one. The old cards were white. Here's hoping it's in Florida-- at your TV home and not in someone else's wallet.

Tom, do you rent out your TV home? If so, you probably turned your card in to the sales office in SS!
