Golf Cart Connection location in the Best Buy Shopping center next to Pet Smart has Closed. There is sign in the window saying due to the economy they had to close their Village Locaton but they are stilll doing business from their Mt Dora location.

This is a business that just 3-4 years ago was a much respected business for selling remanufactured Club Cars....and always received good marks for sales and service here on TOTV. Personally I dont think the fault of this company closing is all due to a bad economy. For whatever reason they stopped selling Club cars and took on other other not so well know golf carts.....and business fell off dramatically. Very poor business decisions on the part of management...probably because the profit margins were greater on the unknown product...BUT you cannot make money if no one buys them......no one wanted them.

I agree. Their rebuilt and refurbished carts were reliable and reasonably priced. I don't why they trashed their old formula for success. If it ain't broke, don't fix it; as they say.

I'm guessing, as you say, that they thought they could sell their off-brand models with a higher profit margin and also with less employees than their old way of doing business.
