I have a Polaris Breeze with the flip down rear seat. Seat belts both front and back. I got mine at The Villages Golf Car Store at Colony. I check mine out for speed every now and then by using my GPS unit. Mine is unchanged from the factory and the speed according to the GPS is between 19 and 20 mph.



I don't want to hijack the thread but also would like to know how you like your Polaris Breeze. I have checked it out at The Village Golf Car Store and really like the looks and safety features, plus the adjustable seat is a real bonus and I wouldn't have to use my booster seat. :clap2:

I'm not a fan of the Breeze. It rides stiff according to a couple of mechanics that I've talked to (although the one I've driven is actually pretty good). The biggest issue, though, is charging. Unlike the Club or E-Z Go, you can't just keep it plugged in. It has to get down to half a charge, then be charged up. This is something they forget to mention until you have to have it serviced because it won't hold a charge. YUCK

I would love to hear more about that, on the surface it makes no sense to me, but I have never read anything about a Breeze. A modern charger overcharges, what else could it be? Any details? I could find nothing doing a quick search of some golf cart forums and am interested in what it can be.

Always interested in learning something new....

Honestly don't know enough to really explain the reasoning. Just know that a friend has a Breeze and this happened to her. She explained that if I needed to use her cart, which I did, I would need to do the half-charge before charging and not to leave it charged overnight once it had a full charge. I believe she was told this by the dealer's mechanic (Villages Golf Cart?).

Fair enough, not a big deal. It just sounds a bit odd to me. A deep cycle golf cart battery is a deep cycle golf battery and I cannot believe Polaris would have a charger that does not shut off after charging the pack to 60+ volts, no matter the discharge state of the pack. Maybe a misunderstanding or a mechanic trainee giving advice :)?

My only point would be this may not be a reason for folks to not look at a Breeze. If you go to buy a Breeze, ask about this charging issue, and if you remember post here.

Maybe next time my wife is shopping I will drift into a Polaris store.... I wonder if the Breeze is having some underlying range issue and they are giving a bit of spin to customers?? I have no idea, just thinking out loud....

I have to disagree. I have a Breeze. The springs/shocks are adjustable. The ride can be stiff or not depending on the adjustment. And I think your friend misunderstood the mechanic about charging. I keep mine plugged in all the time with no ill effects. Even after a short run I plug it in. Mine is only a year old, but I can go from Havana CC up Morse to 441 over to Buena Vista down Buena Vista to 466a over to Colony and back to Havana and still have over 1/2 charge left. Oh, and according to my GPS it will go 21 - 22MPH on level ground.

I, too, have a Breeze and love it. I don't find the ride to be particularly hard, as a matter of fact, it's quite comfortable and steering the cart feels more like I'm driving a car with power steering than a golf cart. The window split and adjustable seat are great for those of us of shorter stature... ;). Don't seem to have too much trouble with it holding a charge. If we've been out and about in the cart for an extended period, we just charge it when we get in. Our range is less than what we had with our Par Car, but being able to drive comfortably offsets the charging. Everyone has different requirements in what is acceptable to them, but remember, an electric cart is just that, an electric cart and each one has different properties. Some get more miles per charge....sort of like cars that get different mileage. My suggestion to those getting a new cart, make sure you're comfortable, make sure you can live with the speed or lack thereof, and unless it's getting horrible distance, just charge up each night if necessary, it's not difficult.

I too own a Breeze and love it! I have had it for over 15 months. It has three setting on the suspension..just need to get out the old manual to see how to change. I have driven more than 25 miles repeatedly during a single day's travel with no problems.:MOJE_whot:
