Drove down 466a today and noticed that news homes have been started near where Morse Blvd extends, and several already have the roofs.
Fun to watch the progress. It seems to be about 6 months ahead of schedule that was described in the past.

Isn't that the new fire station?

The fire station has been going up for a while. I noticed the houses yesterday - I believe it is a direct result of the rain earlier in the week and the sunshine yesterday. They'll be growing like wildflowers from here on out.

Should help Colony attract even more business now that it's started in that area. Wonder if those new homes are going to be used as lifestyle previews. Usually it seems that its the Villa's that get the first anchor in a new neighborhood.

Amazing! We drove by about two weeks ago and just before we headed north and there were only pipes visable sticking up out to the ground at that time. Are they sure it's gonna be the Village of Sanable and not the Village of "Beep-beep-yoooow?" :1rotfl:
p.s. I can't wait to get back down in the fall and see how far they've advanced by then!

I heard the new houses you see are a new Designer model center.

I will be in TV for a 8 days starting July 6. I wonder if these homes will be open for viewing by prospective buyers by then. Are these homes near Havana Country Club?
I'm looking at Mapquest (classic version). This version of Mapquest does not show the extension of Morse Blvd. south of 466A. How far south is Morse Blvd. being extended?

Probably a good bet that if they are building now some will be sold before July.
Morse Blvd will go to CR44.

We drove by there on the cart path along 466a and were amazed at the number being developed all at once. The theory that these will be a new model center seems feasible. I assume that there will be no occupancy of any homes in the new section until swimming pools, etc are complete. From our vantage point we couldn't tell if this work has started yet.

Has the developer announced how many houses will be built south of 466A?

There are more than a handful being built right now. We drove our cart down there today and there are a bunch (designers) being built. Looks like a neighborhood pool area also going in. We didn't continue West but there are some buildings going in beyond the bunch just of Morse Blvd area...couldn't make out exactly what (a rec center maybe??). In answer to the ??? about how many houses south of 466A...I'd say "ALOT"!!!

Previously stated at last "State of The Villages" that it would be about 11,000 homes south of 466a, with about 15,000 remaining since 2010.
Heck of a lot of progress since then regarding the last 3 Villages north of
466a.

Looking at this map, where will the new town square be? I have a general idea, but cannot point it out to anyone on a map or when I take guests down that area.
Thanks

I understand that it will be at the corner of Buena Vista and 44 ... you can see the general outline of a town square on the map ...

On your link it will be in the bottom left corner between 44 & 44A by Buena Vista, so if you travel down Buena Vista when you reach 44A then Brownwood will be off to the right. Try this map, maybe it will give you a better idea of the location.

You can use the link spk7951 provided by copying into a new browser. How you copy it matters. You cannot highlight, then copy and paste. You must right click on the link and in IE select "copy shortcut", then paste that. In FF, right click on link and select "copy link location", then paste that into new browser.
Both links provided have the old http referrer issue where you click on them and come back to TOTV. (boring info at: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26137)

I too enjoy watching areas spring up from dirt to bustling neighborhoods.
No matter who lives in Sanibel, I would bet Caly and I will be one of the first to view the new floor plans as we have in every neighborhood after 2007. Hope you future owners do not mind :D
