Only on the last Thursday of the month. The rest of the time, St. Vincent's will not take clothing. I learned that at Christmas time.

Try St Theresa Thrift Shop on Rte 301 Belleview or St Paul's Thrift Shop in Leesburg.

They are located in the center across from 441 Walmart on the south side of the lot. They are in a truck van and are always happy to see you.

We just used the VA...We are getting our home ready for sale and because we had so much clothing to donate, we selected the VA because they provide home pick-ups ( in my area, anyway ). Donations are also tax deductible.

This is an organization that helps the needy, the homeless, people who've lost their homes to fire, etc. They do not maintain a store and sell the items. Everything is given away. They take furniture, clothes, etc. They do not take food as such but if you give it to them along with the other items, they do see to it that it gets to one of the food banks.
Suzanne Fuqua is their Community Facilitator (352-586-3494). Their # is 352-753-0801 or fax 352-7930804. All donations are tax deductible. She delivered an itemized tax statement to me herself. When she was here, she told me more about what they do and I personally think it is terrific. Her business card also lists 2 websites: devereux.org and sfuqua@devereux.org. as well as all the numbers. If I remember correctly, she told me that she lives in Hadley.
