We will be looking for one when we make the year round transition.

I have been a guest on some sofabeds left over from the inquisition. I would like to have a really comfortable one for my loved people when they visit us. AND I would like it to be comfortable for us too, to sit upon.

I think that some new styles have blow up mattresses, or am I wrong. Who has a good one and tell me what to avoid.

a friend of mine loved their Stearns & Foster mattress, I think partially a blow up, on their sofa bed - Is Stearns & Foster still in business - I think they were even a Cincinnati company.

(And did you see that Reds' game last night)?

Our furniture arrived three weeks after we did so we purchased a sofa bed at Bargains and Treasures. I also purchased a 3" memory foam pad to put over it. It is extremely comfortable and nice looking. It works quite well in the den.:clap2:

We did an enormous amount of research on sofa beds before we purchased ours. Our guests tell us it is more comfortable than their own beds at home.

It is called the "Comfort Sleeper" and made by American Leather (although the upholstery can be cloth and not leather). This bed is truly comfortable for sleeping. AND, the sofa is truly comfortable as a sofa. This was important for us as it is the only sofa in our living room and we don't have room for another sleeper sofa in our home.

We are all set to look for a sleeper sofa for the 3rd bedroom in our CYV - a Bonita/Foxglove plan. It's not a huge 3rd bedroom, we use it for an office/music room (Ohioboy is a cornet player and practices occasionally, so we leave his music stand out and he uses the desk chair).

Then - my kids gave us a high quality queen-size airbed (Aero brand). Inflates and deflates in about 5 minutes. Quite comfortable. We have slept on it 4 or 5 times. It's one of those double mattress ones, about 20-24 inches high (I've never measured).

We decided a sleeper sofa would really cramp the room, wouldn't have a good place for the desk and a recliner that migrated into that room, and the restored jukebox my brother-in-law gave us (until I kick the bucket, but good luck getting it back from Ohioboy if I go first).

Plus, we can take it back and forth to Ohio and wherever we might visit in our retirement travels. Our friends are all starting to retire in different places, and it's kind of fun to get 3 or 4 couples together sometimes for a weekend visit. We feel more welcome when we can bring our own bed :)
