I was wondering if anyone else has taken the time to write a detailed post only to hit "Submit Reply", and the system timed you out.
I just spent an hour and a half and the post went away.:censored: :cryin2:
Please there me there is a drafts folder or this post can be retieved without having to retype it as it's all in my head and I don't want to have to remember the pain of being so stupid.
I should have made a word document and then cut and paste.
When will I ever learn?

Hour and a half? I don't think that much when I'm getting paid to do it:)

When will I ever learn?Did you try your back button to see if what you typed was still avaliable? If still available you'd be able to copy it, then bring up a new posting window and paste it in there.
Also, similar to what you've indicated about using word, I use notepad if it's going to be long.
Either notepad or word should do the trick though to avoid :Screen_of_Death:!

No, it wasn't there but thanks for the suggestion.
Russ - I wasn't looking at the clock and I thought as long as I was typing, the system wouldn't time out. I got so invovled in what needed to be said, as it was important to help other people that time flew by.
Now, I'll have to remember to use Word, cut and paste.
I will revisted this post when I feel I have the time to devout to it.

Maybe you should consider consulting with a publisher. An hour and a half:shocked:

I have had the same thing happen after a longer then normal post. If it's more then a short response, I always highlight and control C to copy it to the clipboard. That way if I get a timeout I can just do a paste and re-do it.

Hi 2BNTV,
That's got to be frustrating! It was thoughtful of you to put so much effort into a post that would be important and helpful to fellow TOTVers. I look forward to reading your post when you have a chance to recompose it.
Thank you for the effort and thank you in advance for the post.
Hugs!

Yes, 2BNTV, I feel your pain! It happens to me every once in a while and it is so frustrating. It usually happens to me when using my iPad, and it takes me forever to compose a post, and then :boom: it's gone.
And that is why they invented the "screen of death" icon! :Screen_of_Death:

I was told quite some time ago that TONY will cut you off if your post starts out" WHEN IN THE COURSE OF HUMAN EVENTS."..
Thats why I have an egg timer on my laptop...I tried a big long dissertation one time and forgot what I was talking about....
I know wedwitch has had this problem more than once (much more)...and so put a little egg timer on your desk and if you forget what your talking about then go in and have an egg sandwich.............
