My husband and I drove to Ocala Saturday because I needed a "wing fix". Found out that Hooters was closed March 17 by corporate due to a financial disagreement between the new company that bought Hooters in January and the owner of the local (and several other) Hooters.

I guess this gives Hooters a new and different meaning for the word... http://th163.photobucket.com/albums/t292/smiliegirl2007/th_busted2.gif (http://media.photobucket.com/image/busted%20smiley/smiliegirl2007/busted2.gif?o=2)

Maybe, you should hang around the Lynnhaven postal center? One of my neighbors brought over my opened copy of Playboy. She said she did not want her husband to browze through it as the pictures might give him a heart attack.

Glad she picked up the mail, I guess.

I do wish they would try to get the right mail in the right slot. Happy I do not subscribe to anything more risque than Playboy.

Perhaps, Hooters closing is a good thing for the welfare of some men here in the Villages??

As I told my still very sexy better half, not to worry if I look, start to worry when I stop looking.

Back in the mid 80's the guy who owned the Amoco station in our town in the Chicago Burbs sold his station and retired to Clearwater. After a few years of playing golf he and some golf buddies decided to open a hamburger joint - they called it Hooters!

AND....the ORIGIONAL Hooters is still OPEN. I was over there three Sundays ago. GREAT wings have always been at Hooters,...ALL over the USA.. The only place I ever had better wings.... was at. .. Squidlips Overwater Grill... in Sebastian FL.

Head up the other way to Kers Winghouse. Its much better than Hooters.

Bobstr, we did go to Kers, but still prefer Hooters. Hooters wings, for us,just can't be beat.

If we are ever in Sebastian, we will give Squidlips wings a try.

Forget about the wings, how about those fried pickles. Yum, Yum. And don't forget a large mug of Fat Tire Ale.

...I've been to "Hooters" a few times but...

I never did frequent "Hooters" much. I felt like I was "Gapeing" at my Daughter!

It just didnt feel...right!

So I say... someone should open a "Hooters" for the over 40 crowd!

Call it "Honkers"

Would work for me!

Hooters should replace Johnny rockets,,just to show that location is great if you have employees and a product that is top notch

Hooters in place of Johnny Rockets would be a great idea. How about the waitresses all being Village residents, too?
