A new national bi-partisan caucus has formed to oppose what they say is a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that has gone too far in what they say is an assault on individual and states rights.

The primary organizers of this caucus are Alaska Rep. Sharon Cissna and Washington Senator Val Stevens. The rest of the caucus are both Republican and Democrat legislators from Alaska, Hawaii, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

They have banded together to work together to oppose what they say is an ever growing threat to basic liberty by the TSA. They are anticipating more state legislative participation.

Each of these lawmakers have introduced legislation in their home states to curb what they say is the excessive power of the TSA.

These legislators say the issues involved include constitutional rights, invasion of privacy, civil rights and child protection. These individual state bills are asking for individual state prohibitions on TSA procedures with the ultimate goal being a federal curb of the operations of the TSA itself.

Had to post this for the people who don't follow these stories and for those who discount what I post, and say I'm obsessed with this issue. Of course, that's correct. I'm obsessed with individual liberty and it seems I'm in good company. I don't think our Founding Fathers would find fault in my beliefs either.
