Has anyone had problems of the rivots in the frame rusting? The company that installed mine is out-of-business? Suggestions?

Have not seen the problem and mine is white so believe I would. Get some fine grit sandpaper, probably 150 grit, and some Rustoleum spray paint the same color as the cage and sand off the rust and spray paint them.

Are they rivots or screws which are the common fastener used? In any event, chances are that they are or will be rusting out completely in which case they need to be replaced before the cage frame is weakened.

I see the rust on ours and was planning to have someone in to look at it.
We also need to have some screening replaced since it's 14 years old so I look at it as normal wear.

Do the bird cage installers offer a choice of fasteners? Seems to me that they should be rust proof given that they will be outdoors.
