I almost posted this in the Just For Fun forum. But sadly, it isn't a joke. The US Postal Service issued a new forever stamp commemorating the Statue of Liberty.
Except the image they used is Lady Liberty, a statue that stands outside the New York-New York casino in Las Vegas.

Now, that's just sad. They should re-do the stamp.

They occasionally make a mistake similar to your reference to a "foeever stamp" in your post. Perhaps we should lighten up.

Sounds like a marketing ploy.
When (if) they make a corrected stamp, the original "mistake" stamps will sell quickly to collectors hoping to make a fortune.:MOJE_whot:

Yeah, I am used to having a copy editor. Thankfully, my little mistake didn't cost us anything except my own embarrassment. Thanks for pointing it out though. That's what a forum is all about.

Kayaker BRILLIANT!!!!!
But take it a little further...
First we change that little old law about requiring that the Post Office destroy stamp "mistakes".
Then save only small quantities and auction them. Their value will be astronomical, but only those who are wealthy collectors would buy them.
Finally, do this with every stamp issued, deliberately.
The insolvent Post Office would be subsidized by millions of dollars from WEALTHY folks making purely VOLUNTARY purchases!!!!!

The best part of this scheme is that the stamps purchased by collectors are NEVER used to pay for mail services.
Pure profit for the USPS.:1rotfl:
