Ok, we've finally made it to The Villages and are renting in Palo Alto for a few months before deciding where to permanently locate. My husband is a SASS member and participates in Cowboy Action Shooting events. He's all COWBOY and would like to meet other folks who share the same interests. He has had horses for the past 25 years and lost his last one last November and decided to move here rather than maintaining our little horse farm in NC. He'd still be interested in "horsey" activities. Thanks for any input you can provide for him.:MOJE_whot:

There are "horsey" activities some weekends on 466A about 1/2 mile west of The Villages. Not sure what they do there, but it might be worth checking it out.

I don't think so. Off of 466 there is Polo. On 466A there is a Rodeo Arena.

Unless there are two this facility is actually east of TV. Sometimes they have a lot of RV's and horse trailers there and it is pretty busy.

The Carriage Museum is much more than you'd expect and they have lots of horse competitions and shows. Love it there!

There is club here call Horseing Around. Great group and I am sure he will enjoy it. Not all members have a horse. They also do a lot of fund raisers and take field trips. Also there are places that take in abused horses and need help on the farms.
