Hi Owners,

If anyone is looking to rent their place starting May 7, 2011, we are looking for an inexpensive rental, about $700 to $800 per month for a furnished place with all utilities and basic cable/internet/phone.

We are a professional couple, my husband is a retired lawyer, me, a retired nurse. We have been staying in a friends rented place for three months here in the Villages and like it so much we want to stay much longer.

Our phone number is 509-590-1400 if you would like to call us. John or Karen.

We hope to hear from you !

A furnished home including all utilities for $22 to $27 a night? Yep, that would qualify as inexpensive. :$:

I do not believe you will find anyone to rent for the number you have indicated, in fact we will not rent during the off months because the pain is not worth the small amount of money that comes to the homeowner. You may need to move up your target.

You might find something for that price on the historic side, but the place will more than likely be a very old (like 1970's) manufactured home. The odds of it having cable and internet will be slim to none.

You didn't say how long you wanted to stay -- that will make a difference as well. If you'd be willing to stay until September/October, it may make it a little more palatable to the homeowner to give you at least somewhat of a discount.

I was going to post but thought I would get roasted for that. Most would be renting at a loss.

Wow. I have been thinking about this since I read your post and I think you are really lucky.... and it is something I just don't usually do...but if I send you two dollars will you buy a lottery ticket for me?

No.. I just can't take that risk. Never mind.

Glad you found a temporary home, hope to meet you soon.

Oh, thanks Uptown and Tom.

Canukistan, enjoy your extended stay. Please take good care of the rental and leave it in as good or better shape than you found it. It's possible that the delta in the summer A/C bill, compared with the home being vacant, will be nearly what you are paying the owners for rent. I kindly suggest and hope that you will be as good to them as they are being to you.

Always a good rule of thumb. That was our motto in the Scouts - leave the campsite in better shape than you found it.

Okay, PT tell us about the new "do"!! :D

BYOB ! LOL !

Yes, we love it. It's tastefully decorated, small enough not to break my husbands back when he vacuums and close to everything.

You all are funny too, even the snide comments, :icon_wink:

And we promise to leave the place better than when we got here. We'll be having a Farewell cleaning party too ! BYOV (vacuum), lol. Hope you all can come to both :)

This thread has made me smile, so thanks to all !:MOJE_whot: :MOJE_whot:
