We're brand new to the game and would like to go to the driving ranges and hit some balls. Do they have clubs available that you can use when you buy a couple of baskets of balls? We've had a couple of lessons in NJ and we're down here for 2 weeks to enjoy our home and lifestyle but we're not ready for the courses yet. Thanks for your help!!!!!

The Country Clubs rent out clubs. You could do that at Palmer and use their driving range.

I know the range behind Wal-Mart on 466 has clubs you can use (no charge). I think Tree Tops range (rolling acres) also has free clubs when hitting a bucket.

There is a program at Palmer, IIRC, that for $50 a month you can try all the sets in the academy golf shop.

I think the question was about using clubs at the driving range. Not where to rent clubs to play with or try out.

All driving ranges that I know of have some clubs to use free of charge.

To confirm what Russ said. All the driving ranges have clubs to use with no charge. Only the cost of the baskets. Enjoy.

All of my clubs that are rent-able are hanging from country club trees...giggle, giggle, snort, snort

Suggest you call first to confirm. I know of at least one facility here in The Villages that does not have clubs you can use.
