I am not a golfer, so I'm posting the question here.
I have a friend who is interested in TV. He has asked what does it cost to play (priority - 5x per week) golf for a year in TV. Are there any restrictions as to # of times per week you are allowed to play or # of country clubs you are allowed to join? I would then add on the trail fee charge. He is not interested in the executive courses. Thank you.

Here is a link to everything you need to know about golfing in the villages.Rates & fees change seasonally!! http://www.golfthevillages.com/
For some reason this link isn't working unless you copy & paste ...clicking on it just brings you back here!! :swear::confused:

That type of golfer would benefit from a priority membership.

I did a cost/benefit breakdown in a thread a couple of years ago. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10721&highlight=priority

I did a rough estimate based on a combination of 2010 and 2011 pricing, assuming you didn't play Palmer, and played a combination of low priced courses like OB, and higher priced courses like Havana. Assuming 5 times per week, 52 weeks per year and including the priority membership which does include the trail fee, it comes to over $7000. With the increase in prices in 2011 and 2012, I expect it would be closer to $7500 for one person. That's a lot of golf to be played.

Hmm. If I wanted to play golf 5 days a week, I'd have to get a job. But then I wouldn't be able to play golf 5 days a week.

A classic 'Catch-22': When you've got the money, you haven't got enough time. When you've got the time, you haven't got enough money.

When you figure out a workable resolution to the above, please clue me in!!

Hate to see my bar tab if I wasn't playing... the cost of those lemonaides would mount up :jester:

I think twice a week on the big courses would be average..... Lots of other free stuff to do
