Buy I Bonds when interest rates are rising. Sell when interest rates start to fall and move the money into longer term bonds to lock in the higher rates. I wish the $10K per year purchase limit would be removed.

I wonder why the 5k paper and 5k Treasury Direct limit breakdown. If there must be a 10k limit, why the heck can't you just do it all online at Treasury Direct. :confused:

I wish the $10K per year purchase limit would be removed.
The limit is SSN based. So if you had 100 close friends (that you trusted COMPLETELY), you could have your $10K and be Co-Owner on another Million.
