When is the best time to plant a orange or grapefruit tree and do
they need a pollenater?

And do they attract citrus rats which attract snakes? I need for someone to tell me that is just plain wrong.

When it isn't raining.

We have a Meyer Lemon tree that we planted last spring and it made it thru the winter and looks to be in good shape. We just put it in the ground and let the sprinklers water it.

Sorry, Linda, unfortunately you are not wrong....but it is not just citrus trees that attract the furry lttle darlings.

Oh, no! I kept hoping my son-in-law was just pulling my leg! That link was very helpful. Thanks.

Another reason we are going to have vent screens installed on the roof vents. We already had a mouse that probably came in when unloading the car with all doors open one cold December. A mouse I can deal with (although not well). A snake or rat - yuck!
