What is your thoughts on the new listing format for the villages real estate? I think it is a change for the worst. No map reference any more and the format does not display the homes as well. JMO

to some extent, the homes are not displayed as well, but don't understand when you say there is no map reference - I see the same kind of map as before. I do like that the rear exposure is listed (on some) as being north, south, etc., though, as we are looking for something that does not have a west facing lanai - JMHO, though...

I wonder if it has something to do with different systems and browsers? I've seen this happen at different web sites.

I see the map too. Plus you can now search by garage size, which is a big improvement. Were you always able to print a flyer of the home? If so, I didn't notice that feature before.

Where is the search by garage size?
Hi Bike,
It's only available on New Home searches. Under "New Homes" and "Newly Constructed Homes," the current list of search criteria includes: Home Price, Home Series, Home Models, Bedrooms/Bathrooms, Home Site (i.e., corner, interior, golf view, water view) and Garage. Don't know how long the Garage option has been there, but it wasn't there back when we were looking.

P - The ability to search by garage type/size has been there since at least last summer, I believe.....perhaps even longer.

It could have been there all along. Sometimes, I can't find my brain either.

we are talking about 2 different things. The original poster I thought was talking about the format of the used homes and there no longer being the ability to go through the home room by room but just in a few rooms, slide show format.
However, the search for new homes has had that garage search for some time I think.
I think the map is on both searches

I noticed the new format yesterday for the first time, and immediately didn't like it. Grrrr. But then, I'm finding as I grow older, sadly, I'm becoming more resistant to change. Something I need to work on. I sure I'll grow to like it just fine. I just wish they would provide a search parameter for "view lots" (lots that back on a preserve or golf course).
Do you remember back when the Admins changed the format of TOTV ... members were so vocal about not liking the change!! And of course we're all used to it now, we all love it, and we can all see that it has definite benefits.

I look only at pre-owned homes in several specific villages. And, of course, at the newly listed pre-owned where I watch the sequence of the listing numbers which gives me a handle on the approximate time on the market for the older listings.
I think the pre-owned part of the site is now rather cumbersome. With the old format, I could navigate through the features fairly quickly.
Something is not quite as inviting with the new version of displaying the interiors. I liked it better when those pictures were along the side and showed up brightly all at the same time.
Oh well, I'll get used to their new- fangled ways...... I guess........BUT I still am NOT getting on Facebook.
I remain,

I agree, it is definitely a move backwards. Pics of the homes are no longer viewable on the Blackberry. When I was looking to buy, I monitored the newly listed frequently during the day on my blackberry. If I found something that looked interesting, I would go to view more on the pc. Now the pic is only viewable at the search results page. When you click to see more details there are no pics.
