I attended a meeting at Sea Breeze a couple of weeks ago. They told us it would open in June or July and that the theme is nautical.

Check the V-mail, I think they said July. It is a nautical theme and there are a few pics.

Last I heard was late July. Happened to be in that area today and from the outside it appears to be ready to open. The outside activities areas look completed but maybe there are some last minute items needing completion inside the facility.
As a side note we also took a ride through the Sanibel area today as parts of it are open to traffic and I was surprised to see the frame work of a neighborhood rec center going up just past the gate.

That rec center is Captiva. It should be opening fairly soon, too, because the first homes are to be finished in late July.

I talked to Joe (head of Seabreeze). He said it is currently due to open the first week of August. They had some issues with the air conditioning (now fixed) and now they are waiting for some equipment.

Heard on the radio yesterday afternoon that the Sterling rec center would be opening on August 3rd and a formal announcement would be out in the next few days about it.
