It seems as though Sarah Palin wants to travel to Europe and the Mid-East in the near future. She had expressed a desire to see Magaret Thatcher in England since Lady Thatcher and Ronnie Reagan were such great allies. Looks like that meeting will not be taking place according to the Guardian newspaper. Lady Thatcher does not think too much of Palin according to the linked article.

Yep, Thatcher aide said any Palin effort to see her would be "thwarted".
Maybe Palin wanted to warn her that "the Martian are coming"

Maybe they will lose her passport and keep her over there.

Being graceful and diplomatic was never the Iron lady's strong suite that is why she was dubbed the Iron Lady. If she had sown the same rudeness to Hillary clinton I would still be upset Her actions only reflect on her and not Palin

Rubicon,

Lady Thatcher's rebuff of Palin shows what leaders and former leaders of the world think of Palin. If a great admirer of Reagan will rebuff Palin, that really says something negative about Palin. Palin is always telling listeners to get back to Reagan's beliefs - and Reagan's greatest ally now tells Palin to stuff it.

Sorry, Richie, but I cannot devote 3 minutes and 17 seconds of my time to hear about Sarah Palin. Life is too precious than to allow for a waste of time like that.

Yeungling yes, Sarah Palin no.

Hit 'em long and straight (except for the doglegs).

Clearly Sarah Palin is one of those individuals that if you like her you really like her and if you don't you really don't. As I recall John f. Kennedy had that same effect on the voting population as was evidenced by his very narrow win

I like Palin and I believe she is good for America and has promoted the best of America. So with a furrowing brow and my index finger pounding on my upper lip I ponder why some people really have such a criticl reaction to this woman

LOL....good one!! Thinking of Palin in Europe reminds me of two American woman who were in a museum I was at and one said, looking at a ancient statue of woman missing an arm and head, "...can you believe they display broken things here?" I swear this is true. I told the people around me I was Canadian...did not want to try to explain that comment.

While looking at the Thames another American tourist who was also viewing it said to us "Did you know that London is centuries old?'

Who knows what educational opportunities that people had to miss if they were born in the thirties or if their parents were born during the great depression? Good people sometimes could not earn enough to give their children a college education and there were not government loans for college back then. Not knowing your history perfectly does not make you a bad person.

Will this be Sarah Palins' first visit to Europe?

I can't bash her. She is a sincere person. She is just not my cup of tea.

In all honesty, if Palin were a little smarter, combined with what she already DOES possess in spades, she'd be an unstoppable force. Right now, she's her own worst enemy. In baseball terms, she's like the can't-miss propsect who was called up to the major leagues too early and scuffled. Whether or not she can rebound and build on what she DOES have is going the be the story.

I fear she won't "grow" because her 'handlers' will keep her in a bubble.

Gracie girl. You always show class and a gentleness about you. djplong. Agree Somebody she repsects and has confidence in needs to sit her down. What is bothersome to me are the haters who unfairly mischaracterize her and especially her family. She has some really fine qualities. One thing I wish her handlers would do is have her stop adressing her critics . she needs to stay on message because she has a good one

Hi Gracie-I don't think it requires a great deal of education to figure out that a centuries old statue might not be in perfect condition......

You are right of course. It also is true that our talents vary and so do our I.Q. numbers, which are not earned or trained, but inate.
