I watched the premier of Glenn Beck's new internet TV network. I was skeptical and there were minor hesitations, but I was impressed. I have found myself very disappointed with most news broadcasts. I gave up on network news. I ended up watching cnb, msnbc and foxnews. I have become very disappointed with both msnbc and foxnews.. just too much bologna on both.
I am going to give GBTV a shot. It costs little and I find myself surprisingly agreeing with beck more and more. From my posts most of you know I am fed up with the Republicans, and like many tea party people, where do I go for real news.
I also love techie stuff so streaming the replay internet news station to my LCD was a lot of fun tonight. The quality was very good. Is anyone else considering it?

Amazing thata Glenn Beck finds enough dupes to support him in this venture. Just look at Beck's background of doing drugs and alcohol and these people think he is speaking from the heart. Beck is just another former disk jockey (like Limbaugh) who has been able to parlay his voice into multi-millions of dollars from right wing dupes who cannot think for themselves.

I thought liberals believed in redemption and second chances, but apparently that does not apply to people who support conservative values.

I did not say anything about Beck that was not true. He is welcome to make all the money he can off of the people he has duped. If you want to give your money to a con artist like him, go right ahead.

The left (in general) loves to accuse everyone else of doing exactly what they have been doing for years, then of course completely deny it for themselves. It's a trick, it's been in their playbook for decades and it’s total deception.
They claim they are they are the open minded tolerant ones, and then will turn right around and personally attack and slander anyone and everyone who doesn't believe the same thing they do. Not in the arena of ideas or policies mind you, it's purely personal. If you don't like a person or a group, they must be personally destroyed and maligned and they don't much care if it's even true or not.
SP is a perfect example. Notice they never much talk about her beliefs or polices, it's always personal attacks. Too dumb, too fat, too skinny, too rich, too poor, too this too that. Limbaugh or Beck is the same thing, never a discussion about ideas or beliefs, only their human defects.
They call others dolts, dupes, bigots, racists, sheep, fat, lazy, drunks, drug addicts or any other name they can come up for that particular day . Of course Liberals are never any of that. They are always above it, smarter, more educated more intellectual, more in the know, more open, more tolerant, more everything.
Fox News they say is filled with nothing but liars and sheep but other networks are of course are all innocent with no agendas. Just keep hammering away at FOX to keep any attention away from other networks who fall into lock step with the left and do their bidding.
The fact is more often than not they are all of the things they accuse everyone else of being. A person or a group with a character flaw will always deflect away from themselves and on to others. They will always try to keep everyone else on the defense while they slip under the radar and do their dirty work.
Accuse others of being a liar so they don't see your lies. Accuse others of being intolerant so they don't see your intolerance. Accuse others of being bigots so they don't see your bigotry. Accuse everyone else of being sheep all the while they themselves will defend the indefensible. Accuse others of being the party of no while your own party does nothing. Accuse others of wanting to kill old people and leave the elderly out in the street all the while they sit idle and let the system go bankrupt anyway.
It's all about REDIRECTION. It's like a magician's stage show. Keep them focused over there while the real truth happens over here unnoticed.
Some even on this board are very proficient at REDIRECTION. Don't fall for it.

dk: I think I've proven (even if Richie disagrees with my conclusions) that I go major on issues with a minor on character. The funny thing is, I was once accused of being as conservative as Atilla the Hun. At the sime time, I was described by soeone else as a liberal "pro-death windbag" (neither situation on this board).
I try to take the issues individually and I don't like being pigeonholed.
But if you want to know why Sarah Palin inspires such vitriol, I think I might have SOME of the answer.
Fear. But maybe not the way you might think at first.
Start from a *decent* liberal's point of view - not one I really agree with but believing that government has more of a role in lives than conservatives would believe. Now, look at Palin's charisma. Even her detractors (like me) have to admit - she draws a crowd and hangs on to them. She DOES get followers.
The fear is almost identical to what conservatives feel when some liberal goes off on "tax the rich to solve all our problems and we'll have milk and honey for everyone". Conservatives are afraid that enough people will believe it that the nation will be led to ruin.
Well, the same holds true for liberals in how they view Palin. She big on rhetoric and can sloganeer with the best of them. However, I haven't seen one single proposal out of her - but that doesn't really matter right now because she's not a candidate. Oh, I think she's lying through her teeth when she says her bus tour is 'just a family vacation' and was quoted to a reporter saying "Thanks for ruining our vacation".. She's not that dumb. I think she's taking the pulse of various regions. She's seeing what the crowds will be like - ad she tested those waters in heavily Democratic districts (Philly, NY, Boston).
When it comes to some political savvy and campaign know-how, at the moment she's crazy - crazy like a fox.
The REAL test will be if she annouces. Personally, I think she will. You don't go around saying you feel the fire in your belly if you haven't already decided that it's a possibility. When THAT happens, the campaign shifts. THEN you have to start getting into specifics.
She's certainly smarter than Trump. No matter how negative an opinon I might have of Palin, she wouldnt' DARE go off saying she had something she didn't have, the way Trump did with his "You won't believe what my investigators are finding in Hawaii" line of bull concerning Obama's birth certificate (and then refuse to answer any questions when the certificate came out). If Palin had a bombshell, she'd use it.

I wonder if he was that bad when he was still on CNN headline news or did he just become this way when he landed on Fox News Channel. Yes he is definitely not honest like Tony Wiener, and not inhaling or having sex with that women Monica Lewinsky, or trying drugs before becoming a Community Organizer, but then again, that's another unimportant matter in terms of measuring the man. Because they speak from their hearts.

Hancie,
You forgot to mention your boy, Rush LImbaugh, and then there is a plethora of other politicians besides the Democrat one you thought about.
If you want to give your time and money to Glenn Beck, go right and do it.

We all pay one way or another for our media. Think about it before you get all self-righteous.
