Any recommendations for a Dr. who knows how to treat "Trigger finger."? It happens when a finger locks and the tendon won't move in it's sleeve.
I would like one around The Villages area.:wave:

Chances are you will get sooner appointment with Dr. Chin.

Also, I have a neighbor with same problem and a Doctor at The VA OutPatient Clinic on CR 42 has helped him. If you get VA medical benefits you might try contacting the Clinic.

My wife had hers repaired by Dr. J. Mandume Kerina. I believe he is now located off 466 traveling east just before Rolling Acres Rd. Our old phone number is 352-753-9105. He is one great guy.

Didn't know that Dr Kerina did hands & fingers, but I guess all othopods learn about them. Thought his specialty and most of his surgeries are hips and knees. He did have an associate named Dr Joyner who specialized in hand surgery, but he left the group and I heard, moved to So. FL.

I has been our experience with Dr. Kerina that while he enjoys a good reputation, in my opinion, overbooks appointments & manages patient scheduling very poorly. 1-2 hour waits are not uncommon. So bring abook or e-reader with you to his office.

I have had steriods injected into my trigger finger twice about 2 years apart and it seemed to have solved the problem. Have not had a triggerfinger problem in the last five years.

Maybe 20 years ago I began to have "trigger finger"...mentioned it to my chiropractor and after several adjustments it never happened again. Surgery would be the very last option I'd consider for such a thing. Same thing happened when I had a ganglion cyst on my wrist. Saw a "hand specialist" and even had it drained. The next option then would have been surgery but chiropractic took care of it!

You may want to contact Dr. Harding because now they have injections and surgery may not be necessary
