HELP -- our homeowners insurance is with Insurance Agencies of the Villages in Spanish Springs. I cannot reach anyone at their offices. I need to reach them ASAP; they do not have an answering machine at their offices. The agent listed on our paperwork is Sherri Miller. Don't know if she
is still there or not. We live in Cincinnati -- our home is in Summerhill. I have tried to find someone at this agency; it seems no one is in till Monday.
Any ideas on how to reach them on the weekend??
Thanks, Jim

I spoke with Sheri Miller on Friday when I purchased insurance for my new villa. So she is there, just not on weekends. This is the contact info she gave me;

Try whitepages.com for her name. Worth a shot.

Thanks for your help. I do have these numbers, but they do not even have an answering machine. I sent her an e-mail, but still have not heard anything. Good luck if you have an emergency and have to reach your agent. I can reach my agent anytime in Cincinnati.
Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for the advice. I tried the white pages and did get a number for someone with that name in Leesburg; however, no one answered. I'll try again later. Thanks again for answering my post.

If they were Allstate or State Farm then you would be correct in filing a claim with your agent. Howevere, the Villages Insurance is an independent agent. Unless you have a question, if you're filing a claim that should be with your insurance company, not the independent agent. Check your homeowner policy for an 800 phone number.

Your insurance policy probably has a 24 hour number for the company you are insured. They should be able to help you.

I tried the 800 number on my policy; however, they do not have weekend hours for customer service. I am not filing a claim, but there has been some kind of mixup on our payment -- my annual payment was returned by check on friday, and I fear we have no coverage. According to our bill our payment should not have been late. We are very upset!!! Probably will not sleep until we get this straightened out.

I don't think they can cancel your coverage without notification.How about some retired insurance agent weighing in so these people can have some peace of mind.

This is exactly why I have an agent that I can contact 24/7.

Our premium is not escrowed. We paid for one year at closing last year, and this was payment for the second year.

Usually the Homeowners bill is a cancellation notice. If not paid by the date due the policy is cancelled. Thats your notice. Florida has strange rules in favor of the insurance company when it comes to things like this. Thius all depends on the insurance company.
