Volunteer work wanted

I am oh so new (January) and am looking for volunteer work and I don't know any non-profit companies yet in or close to The Villages. I really prefer golf cart travel. I would like to do office work or something that doesn't require standing or walking. Any suggestions?

Lynn222, Does the Charter School in TV accept volunteers in the office or to work with the students if that is your preference? How about volunteering to do office work at the TV library, the VA clinic or the TV hospital? Just throwing some ideas out there. I'm volunteer for a couple of programs here up north which are important to me, and TV does seem to have a lot of volunteer opportunities available. Hope you find some volunteer work that is rewarding for you. :wave:

There is usually a list of places to volunteer in The Villages listed in the Daily Sun. Don't know what day or days it's in but it's loaded with positions.

My wife volunteers at the Mark Twain Library and has for 4 years. She enjoys working at the library and you might want to consider that if it interests you. It's located behind the Paradise center on the historic side.
