Can't legally drive a "traditional" golf cart across 27/441.

Is there any parking at the gate on Jeffrey Drive? I am not sure I want to try crossing 27/441 on foot at the Rolling Acres intersection.

The gate guard has let me leave my golf cart at the gate to walk over to the drs. office many times. May be fair walk up the Home Depot, but you could cut through by the banks.

We just came in that gate this afternoon on our way home from Home Depot. We were in our vehicle; not the cart. There was a golf cart parked on the grass side of the entrance, on the inside of the gate, headed in the wrong direction. (Just a side note. The cart had steer horns on the front!) I have no idea where the person was going when they left the cart there. But I suppose you are able to park a cart at the gate and walk somewhere if you are willing to do that.

I think I might try to walk across Rolling Acres to get to JoAnn Fabrics this week, but probably will only try that in the summer when there is less traffic, and while I'm still young enough to run.

As is my understanding you can't even cross with a streel legal as the speed limit on 441/27 is over 35mph, actually 45.

LSVs can CROSS any street irregardless of that street's speed limit ... I own a GEM and legally cross 27/441, 466, 466A, etc.

Thanks, I was always unsure or that rule and heard they couldn't cross. It would make a LSV a lot more desirable with that added benefit.

leaving the Cart at the Jeffery Dr gate will work fine as long as the guard says it is ok.

Street-legals cross over 466 on Morse. :gc:

It would be helpful if someone published a comprehensive map showing the paths of where carts are permitted (cart paths AND streets). Even the cart path map is out of date. I know you can use the cart bridge in Spanish Springs to cross 441/27, but unsure how far carts can access east or west. Anyone know?

You can get to Lowes by cart.

Yes, via Paradise Dr on the east side. Take Paradise to just about where it turns east; there's a cart path that goes NW into the medical complex. Proceed north till the road ends and turn right into the parking lot. Go over a set of small speed bumps and you'll see a dirt cart path that goes north to Lowes

You can go past Lowes past Aldi and find another dirt path to Walmart and Stonecrest........... GAS UP!

A couple of days ago my wife and I were eating breakfast at the Speckled Butterbean. When we came out there were 2 street legal carts in the parking lot and I wondered how they were able to cross route 44. I can see them getting to 44 by taking Buena Vista cart path to route 44a and then going on 44a to the light and turning left. I don't know the speed limit on 44a but the speed limit on the road that goes past the new Sumter County bldg. is 35 mph.

LSV can travel on roads with posted speed of 35 mph or less. The can cross road with a speed over 35 but only if they cross at an intersection with traffic light.
